Too often, education feels like a transaction - students memorize facts and complete assignments to earn grades, without much thought to how learning shapes who they are becoming. At Summit, we partner with parents to “train up a child in the way he should go” so that when he is old, he “will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6). Education here is formative, carefully designed to transform students’ hearts, minds, and character. Students develop habits of choosing what is good, true, and beautiful, learning to order their loves in a way that points themselves and others to Christ.
Through our classical Christian approach, students gain far more than knowledge. They learn to think clearly, communicate confidently, discern truth, and serve others with integrity. By God’s grace, when they graduate, students are:
Christ-followers - rooted in faith, with hearts oriented toward God in every area of life.
Eloquent Communicators - able to express ideas clearly and persuasively, both in writing and speech.
Intellectually Curious - eager to explore, question, and understand the world around them.
Faithful Servants - equipped to love and serve others with humility and integrity.
Culturally Engaged - prepared to navigate and contribute to the world with understanding and discernment.
No child should ever feel like just another face in the crowd. Smaller class sizes at Summit create space for teachers to build meaningful relationships with students, encouraging them personally while challenging them to grow. Teachers discern their strengths, support them in their struggles, and celebrate their successes.
This kind of care doesn’t happen in isolation. We see parents as true partners in this educational journey, working together through open communication and shared values. Families are welcomed into the life of the school, creating a community where students know they are loved, supported, and surrounded by people who want to see them flourish.
At Summit, students pursue academic excellence while growing in their faith. For more than 30 years, our graduates have been well prepared for the colleges of their choice, equipped to step into their fields of interest, and committed to walking with the Lord beyond graduation. Students experience a fully accredited program with robust opportunities in the arts, athletics, languages, clubs, and leadership. These spaces allow students to try new things, cultivate their gifts, and grow in confidence. In the Upper School, learning expands through honors and dual-enrollment courses, along with participation in honor societies. Whether mastering a new concept, performing on stage, leading a team, or joining a club, students are encouraged to step into opportunities that sharpen their minds, strengthen their skills, and shape their character.
Who your students are surrounded by is just as important as what courses and clubs are offered at a school. With our covenantal model, parents can rest assured that every family, teacher, and staff member shares a commitment to the local church. This means your child is consistently formed by truth – at home, at church, and at school – within a community of grace. In this environment of partnership and discipleship, students don’t have to choose between thriving academically and growing spiritually. They do both, side by side, every day.
